Hawthorn Printmaker Supplies is a family run business, offering high quality range of printmaking equipment to artist. We manufacture our own range of presses and unique Stay Open inks along with all other printmaking supplies.

We have been established since 2006 offering a bespoke service to artists throughout the United Kingdom, since then we have continued to grow and now have clients all over the world.

We strive to provide the highest quality range of products and service and look forward to working with you in the future. 

Our Inks

All of our inks are made using vegetable based varnishes and contain no heavy metals. Many years ago pigments were made from lead, arsnic and cadmium salts. Whilst they produced bright colours many were very toxic. Even now we may still use the original names of these pigments, such as Cadmium Yellow but we only use none toxic alternatives. 

• ie they do not contain any Cadmium, Lead or Crome Pigment.

We use the word "Hue" meaning that a colour is the shade of

• ie Cadmium Yellow Hue is this colour but contains NO Cadmium
